For Friday's Assembly: if your child belongs to guides or scouts Canada, they are permitted to wear their uniform to school on Friday as part of our tribute during this assembly.
We had a busy day with stories about remembrance day, peace and friendship today. We all made our own poppy art and shared and talked about our art material and presentation choices today. As always we worked with writing as a group, to think about letters and sounds and how we write ideas down. We all read to ourselves and to a partner and of course it was a music day today! We had an extra afternoon outdoor recess to take advantage of the beautiful sunny afternoon, after an indoor recess this morning!
We got geared up with a story about how we are all the same in some ways but different in others. We will be focusing on social studies ideas through our art work tomorrow to create our "me trees".
After our morning of felting tomorrow, we will have a much larger focus on Math and making numbers in the afternoon! We will also have gym in the afternoon with Mr. J. We've been practicing a lot of running form and endurance and team work, along with tally marks in the gym, so tomorrow we are switching over to a new focus for exercise, movement and body awareness.
