We went on a leaf hunt today, all around our schoolyard, to find different leaves from different trees.
We measured, compared, and thought about descriptive language like serrated, or jagged, smooth, or bumpy. We made crayon rubbings, and leaf creatures, based on two books, "Leaf Man" and "Look What I Did with a Leaf". Ask me about changes I sense and know about in Autumn and ask me about things people do in Autumn, or celebrations that come up in the Autumn (Harvest, Thanksgiving, Diwali, Sukkoth, Moon Festival and Halloween as well!)
The days get shorter and the nights get longer, we have less sunlight - so we are really trying to enjoy all the time outside that we can get in!
Reminder to dress in layers for Terry Fox Run on Friday, as it may be a chilly run outside!
Tomorrow is a library day for us (all our books are at school, we've been practicing here!)
