We are getting very excited for Halloween! Ask me if I can tell you some Halloween Safety Rules to help stay safe while Trick-or-Treating! We reviewed and wrote about some of them today!
We cut open one of our pumpkins and will be counting the seeds... "How Many Seeds In a Pumpkin?" We read that book today. Tomorrow we will practice counting by 2's, 5's and 10's, grouping seeds and finding out how many!
We also talked about retelling stories with great details, including the beginning ideas, characters and what kinds of problems show up in the middle of a story. Then, how does the problem get solved in the end? We listened and watched the story, "Franklin's Pumpkin" to help us with retells today.
This is a little recall job we can do with our little books we bring home as well. When we read with partners at school, we practice remembering, telling, and retelling what the book was about, from memory.
