Today is your child's folder you should have found a quick checklist to fill in and send back to school tomorrow! There is also a form for our upcoming field trip to Telus for Junior Architect!
If you are an available, cleared volunteer who has signed up for the Telus trip in Nov, please let me know by email or a note in your child's folder - I can then send you the required paperwork to fill out.

Students worked on pumpkin measures today with partners. We did an art project with pumpkins and paint in our visual journals to start the day and we had a big share from a classmate about Diwali celebration! We ended our day with gym and lots of building materials. Of course, as always, we did our listening, speaking and reading jobs as well.
Anytime you have an important family, spiritual or cultural celebration happening in your life, please send pictures and ideas for us to share at school!
Halloween in the Classroom Tomorrow
Students are so excited about their costumes!
While it seems that most students in our room are dressing up and celebrating Halloween with their families, we like to recognize that not everyone does so, and that it is not the curriculum learning in the classroom.
We keep our daily focus on Autumn, animals like bats and spiders and plants that are harvested in the Fall. We will have some carved pumpkins, as they link to the learning we've been doing.
Students are invited to wear a costume if they wish, but are aware that they do not have to wear a costume to be part of our classroom community of learners.
Costumes
Please no gore, weapons or masks over faces; we ask that you save that for trick-or-treating later.
Students are invited to BRING a costume with them if they may be uncomfortable in it all day and wish to change into it later on or have a change of clothes to change into at some point in the day.
Treats
Students are invited to bring an extra treat for themselves tomorrow, as we will have a movie time after our music in the afternoon tomorrow.
You do not need to send treats for everyone, and I prefer that you don't, as it ends up being too much food for little ones in an already busy day.
The Code Word for today's Blog - and your homework checklist is:
BOO
Thank you for helping with your child's learning each day!
